Ooh Ten/Rose is het, sort of. I've only written it once though.

Torchwood, woohoo! I never really got into SPN but I have a lot of online friends who love it, and I understand it is rather fertile grounds for the slash writer/fan

TheMysticMasseuse · 19/01/2010 16:22

Oh I get it now. App the big non-het twilight fanfic thing is Edward/Seth....

alittlebitshy · 19/01/2010 16:22

I haven't read the whole thread in case it spoils things for me .

This time last year I was adamant that they were not for me, but i seem be have been sucked in by the hype and by noticing that friends, who are not normally into that kind of thing either, have loved them.

I finished Twilight last night and am desperately awaiting mugging the postman New Dawn and Eclipse which have been dispatched form Amazon!

ShowOfHands · 19/01/2010 16:24

You must watch SPN. The slash is practically canon.

TheMysticMasseuse · 19/01/2010 16:29

Define slash (and spn) for me please

ShowOfHands · 19/01/2010 16:39

Slash is Edward/Seth in Twilight terms. Taking two male characters and writing them as romantically linked.

SPN is Supernatural, an American programme. Now in series 5. About two brothers who hunt demons. And then, well, there's this angel. And he's, well, there's, I mean, he just...

Article from Telegraph re Slash

The first time I stumbled across it I was but once you start reading you get scarily accustomed to it and get a bit addicted to it

ShowOfHands · 19/01/2010 17:18

I was horrified when I first read it. So I read some more to make sure I'd understood it. And then I realised I could write it better than some of the attempts I'd read. And now, well, it's a hobby I guess.

HE IS A VAMPIRE!!!
the other one is a werewolf, seriously teenagers are NOT that stupid that a book will cause them to be a battered wife, christ!

MattBellamysMuse · 17/02/2010 23:38

Nelix, I've now read interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned
Loved The Vampire Lestat. Queen of the Damned got a bit silly. But now I love the characters and want to find out what happens to them so I may well read all 11 in the series.
I'm not mad keen on Anne Rice's writing style though. She's a bit waffley.
