Really liked labyrinth - was good fun. Picked up sepulchre and first page didnt grab me, which obviously isn't much to base a decesion to continue on - but i yawned and put it down before i even got to the second page. I have heard that after labyrinth it all went a bit down hill? Worth persevering with ?

Definitely, once you get into it quite spooky and a very good book, well worth persevering with.

oh thanks, will give it a go, i like spooky but i cant be doing with stephen king/james herbert type gore fests

Both me and my mate really enjoyed it after reading the first one.

Creepy/spooky rather than gore fest. All mind stuff not icky IYSWIM>

hamandegger · 13/01/2010 16:47

no not gory, and i'm a bit of a wuss so its not too spooky. I would really recommend it though, it just takes a bit to get going.

FlyingMonkey · 13/01/2010 20:51

I thought it was crap.

pointydig · 13/01/2010 20:53

I don't like kate mosse's writing

Carikube · 13/01/2010 20:54

I thought it was just a re-hashed version of Labyrinth so didn't like it...

FlyingMonkey · 13/01/2010 20:58

Agreed, Labyrinth was at least an interesting story and I enjoyed the bits about Cathar history. Sepulchre was the same idea, recycled in a different and less believable context.

lucyellensmumagain · 13/01/2010 21:10

oh, ive heard that it was a rehash undecided now

busymummy3 · 13/01/2010 21:29

ive read it and thought it was good. quite intrigueing but did take a while to get going. I havent read Labrytinth though. Im reading Lost Symbol Dan Brown at moment and hve found it a bit slow but now starting to get away with it maybe I shouldnt try and read books until Christmas over and have more time to concentrate

JaneiteIsAWimpyTeacher · 15/01/2010 19:19

I thought it was absolute tosh. Haven't read Labyrinth to compare.

JaneiteIsAWimpyTeacher · 15/01/2010 19:20

I gave up on Labyrinth after about four pages then later read Sepulchre in desperation on holiday - found it at the apartments and had finished all my own books.

Cicatrice · 15/01/2010 21:31

I didn't like it. I don't know why I tried to read it because I didn't like Labyrinth, either.

Clearly I don't learn from my mistakes.

littletortie · 16/01/2010 21:11

utter tosh. I dont like her writing at all.
