I usually love Jodi Picoult but this one is awful ... I just can't get into it at all. I've read halfway through and nothing seems to happen and the way it's written, you never know if you're reading past events or the present.

And then there's the chapters full of whale study stuff ... yawn!

Has anyone else tried it? Am i missing something?

No, I found this one awful too - I think she wrote it when she was 15 iirc?

I did get all the way through though, eventually. Mainly because I'd forked out for the bloody thing and was determined to get my moneys worth!

The next one, Picture Perfect, is much better.

I like most of her stuff, but didn't bother getting this after reading the Amazon reviews. I like the title! It's a republish I think, one dug out from under the bed and reprinted in light of her mega-success.

I read it last year following on from something rather heavy and quite enjoyed it. Must admit to skipping over a lot of the whale-y bits.

I started it and nearly gave up but persevered to the end, mainly cos I'm a sucker for punishment! Didn't enjoy it at all, have read other books written in a similar way diff character/time for each chapter and enjoyed them but just couldn't get into this one

This is one of the few books I packed off to the charity shop without finishing. Very, very dull.
