Is this the one that's a bit raunchy?

If yes - I'll definitely put it on my "to read" list!

What's the name of the author?

acnebride · 17/08/2005 21:57

Ooh yes, I've read it. Author is Dawn something (not much help). What did you think Mojomummy?

acnebride · 18/08/2005 09:10

Are you there?? [echo]

I really enjoyed reading it, though felt extremely 'chinny reckon' about her first two clients being a doctor and a security consultant or whatever they were, also all the 'you're a diamond mum' stuff. The big question for me was how she ever thought she was going to afford private school for six children in the first place?? i've no idea what private primary schools cost but surely that would be a minimum of £6K a year?

Funnily enough I was having a conversation with my DH today about prostitutes (long story how the conversation got there) and he said he was interested in what went on the minds of women who were prostitutes (this sounds really dodgy doesn't it?), the psychological stuff really. I remembered seeing this book in ASDA and the discussion on here. Can anyone tell me whether the book delves into her thoughts and feelings/motives and would this be a book that a man would enjoy?

Mojomummy · 22/08/2005 20:20

Oooh at last ! yes read this over my summer hols - by Dawn Bannerdale (sp?)

Terribly sad upbringing, distorted idea of family life, 6 children followed by lots of debt = life as an escort.

I think a man could read it, whether he would enjoy it or not though ? & I think I'd warn him not all women are like this ? However, VERY interesting to get a mans opinion on her experiences.

Thanks Mojomummy, might get it for him (would like to read it myself anyway).

I saw her (Dawn B) interviewed on good ol' Rich and Jude. Interesting character, but sad also. Might give the book a bash... if our library stocks it!!(doubtful emoticon)
