Autobiography help needed

My DB has requested an autobiography as his Christmas gift. He ideally would like a sports personality who has led a somewhat interesting life. He is interested in climbing, sailing, cricket and motorsports - none of which I know anything about. Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Oh I was going to suggest Andre Agassi, but that doesn't work.

Not an autobiog, but I've got my dad this book about the Brawn team

Don't know anything about the other sports, but for motorsports, Stirling Moss? also got this for my Dad. I suspect he's quite a bit older than your brother, though

Andrew Flintoff and Jenson Button have both got autobiographies out just now. But how about someone like Ranulph Fiennes - here - or James Cracknell - here - who probably have much more interesting tales to tell.

Oooh thank you for the suggestions.

Have been looking at them and reviews and was somewhat inspired. I think I am actually going to buy him Mad Bad and Dangerous by Ranulph Fiennes and Cairngorm John as he's off to the Cairngorms in January (adventurous fool that he is LOL)

Thank you again
