The Red Tent

Hiya,

Just wondering if any one has read The Red Tent?

I have had it since April, and having left in for so long, tried to get into it.

I'm only a couple of chapters in, and really struggling with it (primarily with all the names, the sons of/daughters of/wife of etc.

Does it stay like this as the story progresses?

Stick with it, I read this a while ago thought it was brilliant.

Thanks for that. So many people have said it is a good book (but I am one of those who need things to happen early on).

LOVED this book! had forgotten all about it until I saw this post!

It's one of my favourite books, so stick with it IMO.

Having said that, it's never a guarantee that you will like what others like. It's worth giving it a try but don't feel bad about putting it away if you reach page 75 and you're still not into it

I liked it. It gave a new perspective on an old story.

Another vote for sticking with it! It took me a while to get into but it's definitely one I'll never throw out now.

Definitely stick with it. Brilliant book that I will keep forever and read again; and hope my daughters read one day as well.

I might get my copy off the shelf again. I tried ages ago to read it and gave up. Perhaps I was being too harsh!
