My Mum (78) wants a book for Christmas. She can't remember the author or the title, or what it's about! But she read a review of it recently and it was compared to Lynne Truss's Eats Shoots & Leaves.

Yes, exactly. I haven't a clue, and haven't even found it by browsing Amazon. Anyone got any blardy idea what she wants?!!!

Have you had a look at the "people who bought this also liked... bit on Amazon?

Asked my sister for you as she works in a major high street bookshop - even she didn't know! Sorry

Yes I tried the "customers who bought this also bought..." but no joy. Sheesh! Knowing the author, title OR vague idea of the subject would be good! Thanks anyway.

Does she remember the paper the review was in? Or even the colour of the front cover?

Apparently, there are a LOT of grammar type books out at the moment.

Can she remember where she read the review? You might be able to find it that way!

Er, thinks it was the Sunday telegraph but then again could have been the local paper! She's not sure!! I haven't found it on telegraph website. Think it's a bitof a long shot! Thanks for your help.

No not "Get her off the pitch" - I tried that! I'll ask her if she knows colour of front cover.

did you find out which book it was? I think I have a vague idea which one she meant- can't remeber the name though
