Picked this up in a charity shop yesterday. Read it last night, couldn't put it down.

Got to the end of it and got completely lost. There was a lot of going backwards and forwards in time and I started to get a bit bored at the detail given in the last chapter or so.

Can someone explain the end to me? - was he having sex with a ghost? Did he kill the girl? Were the ghosts a figment of his imagination?

Aside from the last chapter and not quite understanding the ending, it was a great book. Parts of it gave me chills

Sorry..I'm with you..read it a while back and couldn't make head nor tale of it...will definately re read though, as feel i have missed something!

Thought you were going to ask if it was any good. I was going to reply by saying started off really well and then ended in the most bizarre way that made no sense.

I have no idea what happened. You would have thought his editor/publisher would have sent it back

Oh well, guess I will have to re-read it aswell.....

I'm glad to see it wasn't just me

It felt to me like it was heading in the irght direction, was building up to a good ending - then its just as if he really neede to finish it fast and just rambled about the past and didn't quite get to the point in the present ifswim

Disappointing though.

I got it from a charity shop- gave it back after 50 pages.
Didn't like his writing style at all.
