The Ten Year Nap by Meg Wolitzer. A recommendation.

Very Mumsnetty in that it's about four women pondering the dilemmas of motherhood, work, marriage etc. Very readable without feeling patronising. A good holiday read.

Why aren't these authors millionaires?

Oh, I loved this - and 'The Position'. Both brilliant.

I'm amazed they haven't filmed The Position. Wes Andersen would direct it really well.

I also really loved 'The Wife' by her. Made me feel fantastically feminist and fired up. In a good way. It was really funny too.
