Absolutely brilliant!

Yes, very good indeed. Half of a Yellow Sun is really good too, but I would recommend reading that one afterwards because although it's pretty educational about Biafra and so on, it can't help being upsetting with the subject matter.

A wonderful book but parts are distressing and it moved me to tears. Just as good as Half a Yellow sun.

Very good.
And so is Half of a Yellow Sun.

Fab - probably best to read before Yellow Sun as YS bit more complex re politics etc

Yes, it is. Some of it's very upsetting and sad though. It's about a young woman growing up in Nigeria and her family, including a very authoritarian father. I was very impressed by One Half of a Yellow Sun and currently have her volume of short stories out of the library, though I suspect it's something I'd really rather like to buy.
