anyone read this?
i thought it completely awful. the poor child. But i aslo find it hard to believe that so much could slip through child protection systemms.

couldn't get into it - thought it was poorly written

Read this recently - agree with JT that it wasn't well written at all but it was easy to read iyswim so I did get to the end.

Can't believe the mother got away with so much - quite frightening really.

yes, i also skipped bits, but found it difficult to believe a lot of stuff.
for example, how could they have old people and foster kids at the same time. didnt anyone do any home visits? or check credit references etc?
surely that would have been an indicator. was wondering if this is how things are done here

I skipped chunks too or 'skim' read some of it.
Very odd.

yes thats who wrote it. think im feeling a bit 'fragile' as essbee rightly put it, to be reading it at the moment so have put it to one side for now.

I have just read this. Wasn't well written but I suppose that is her style. Really awful sad story. Also shocked that so much happened to her and no one noticed.
