I have just finished reading My Sister's Keeper. I cried for ages at the end. Has anyone else just finished reading it? No one I know has and I wanted to share thoughts!

Ambrosia,
You have to read it and let me know what you thought. It is really good and an excellent twist at the end! Dont want to say too much in case I spoil it for you!
Anyone else like the twist??

struggling through "small island" atm, not as good as expected.

Sobbed at various points through the book and then wept like a baby at the end.....was not expecting the twist at all!!!!!!!
Excellent, thought provoking read!

Excellant book. Really enjoyed it, had to be the first book in a long while that I really couldn't put down. You really feel for each of the characters as you read thru and the twist at the end really was a shock. I'm another one that ended up crying!!

I bought this book because of the reviews I read on here and am so glad I did - I ended up buying another of the authors books (Plain Truth another good one!)

The twist at the end, for the first time in ages I actually cried at the end of a book. It is hard to discuss that without spoiling it for those who haven't read it.

The other parts of the book were so thought provoking. I must admit to finding Sara quite unsympathetic although I understand what drove her. It was interesting to see though how the family seemed to orbit around Kate's illness, there was nothing but that one thing holding them together while also tearing them apart.

It did raise some issues over what happens when children born for that reason grow up. How do they feel? What do they think about how they are as part of the family?

You can tell I really enjoyed it, eh?

I was taken aback by the ending but didn't cry. I particularly enjoyed the re-establishment of her relationship with her father. Most of the character development was very good I thought.
