Bless these wonderful authors who can persuade boys to read! My son aged 9 loved Silverfin (wow, the movie or TV series is bound to be a massisve hit) and has now just started Storm Breaker. He read 90 pages in one night. It's so exciting to see him absorbed in a book.
Any recommendations for books for boys aged 7? My younger son (a pretty good reader) has read all Horrid Henry and Captain Underpants, got bored with Flat Stanley and dabbled unenthusiastically with Secret Seven. Problem is books with level of adventure and excitement he requires are too tricky for him to read. It was same with ds1: between 7 and 9 i couldn't find much to float his boat.
