by Rebecca Miller (daughter of Arthur Miller and married to Daniel day Lewis). Has anyone read this...what did you think? I have just started it, and am really drawn in to it.

I read it about 2 weeks ago and really enjoyed it.

I read it last year, it was ok, can't really remember what happened though

Maria2007 · 17/06/2009 15:04

I read it last year & to be honest didn't like it (even though it was an easy read). I thought the writing was a bit pretentious & the story not very believable. Also, I really didn't like the main character...

I am now at the lesbian sex scenes bit - didn't see those coming when I last posted!
I also see the book has been made into a film which is just out - with good reviews. So my final verdict yet to come..

lesbian sex scenes?! I'm sure I would have remembered that

londonartemis · 18/06/2009 15:00

Aunt Trish's partner Kat got Pippa to pose for lesbian porn photos in New York. Then she was caught by the aunt in flagrante (pose) so to speak. Also, they went to a nightclub with a bit of AC/DC going on.
Is it coming back now, Yappy BD?!

lol, yes, it's all coming back now

londonartemis · 21/06/2009 21:36

After such a promising start...I am disappointed! I thought too much of the book was flashback to the drop out life. Don't even think I will go and see the film.

I thought it was a strange story, but I enjoyed it because it was different iyswim. I liked the way it ended though

I managed about 20 pages. I thought it was excrutiatingly awful - mindless drivel imho, which should never have been published. Miller must be turning in his grave.

It's still sitting upstairs by my bed. I couldn't get into it at all.
