Help me to remember... what is this book?

About Egypt, a teenager runs away to Egypt and tracks down her grandmother who has lived there for years. The story is of her grandmother's past and the two talk and grow closer and eventually get stuck in a sandstorm in the desert.

I enjoyed it and want to give it to a friend but my brain is just weak and flaccid when it comes to recalling anything not vital!

I haven't - just googled because it sounded interesting. Am banning myself from buying any more books though until I have finished some more of the ones I've got
