A friend suggested I read this the other day. I thought it was aimed more at "youngsters". Can anyone tell me if it's worth a go please?

Too hot. 108 degrees. Ouch.

HappyandEiknowit · 10/04/2009 20:51

that woman who wrote that article obviously hasnt had a good edward-style sex dream and therefore cant appreciate the books
i say go for the host edwardcullenswife (or should we just call you bella?) and then read the series again

Berrie · 10/04/2009 20:51

I'd definitely give him one too!

Disenchantegg3 · 10/04/2009 20:52

I kept thinking 'I wish these werent young adult books so she would get a bit raunchier!' pmsl.

Berrie · 10/04/2009 20:52

Oh Lord...you know I can't remember the details...I've only read them once!

EdwardCullensWife · 10/04/2009 20:52

He's young enough to be your son Berrie

Disenchantegg3 · 10/04/2009 20:53

Im team edward all the way, but would rather him be hot than freezing marble, can't imagine thats nice.

EdwardCullensWife · 10/04/2009 20:53

I'll buy the Host then.
I really wanted details of the wedding night. Was very disappointed.

Berrie · 10/04/2009 20:54

Oh yes
Talking of which, my 5 year old asked me (in front of my 85 year old stuffy FIL) what snogging was and proceeded to give me a big kiss)

EdwardCullensWife · 10/04/2009 20:54

The ice cold tongue can't be much fun.

Berrie · 10/04/2009 20:55

Sex is so hard to get right though...it could have gone horribly wrong if she'd done it in more detail.

Berrie · 10/04/2009 20:56

Don't start!

EdwardCullensWife · 10/04/2009 20:56

A bit of detail would have been nice. One minute they're naked in the sea, the next it's the morning after. Bah.

Berrie · 10/04/2009 20:58

Spose

Disenchantegg3 · 10/04/2009 20:59

Yea, I was quite geared up for that, lol.

But then again Im a bored housewife. Hahaha

HappyandEiknowit · 10/04/2009 21:01

i wouldnt mind giving the ice cold marble tongue (etc) a try myself... it would probably be the only time i would ever enjoy shagging an 107 year old as i cant imagine it being pleasent with any other man who had lived longer than a century either way im obviously on team edward

Berrie · 10/04/2009 21:02

Uuurgh! Quit talking about the tongue!

Disenchantegg3 · 10/04/2009 21:03

I bet its like a dead wet slug. Ha.

I have a question actually ... but its a bit gross ...I wondered whilst I was reading the books ...

EdwardCullensWife · 10/04/2009 21:07

Spit it out, woman

HappyandEiknowit · 10/04/2009 21:08

a dead slug?? not in my dreams its not haha humna humna humna...drool...

LibrasJusticeLeagueofBiscuits · 10/04/2009 21:08

pinkteddy thank you for that!!

EdwardCullensWife how do you respond to that article as a journalist?

EdwardCullensWife · 10/04/2009 21:09

I've been reading that silly article. She chucks in lots of quotes which, taken completely out of context, appear to support her arguments.
She makes Edward out to be some sort of bully when actually he's the complete opposite.

Disenchantegg3 · 10/04/2009 21:09

Wellll,

I was wondering about how at first Edward was consumed by the smell of her blood and he found it hard to be near her ... and then as time went on it got easier but still had to be very careful etc ...

what about on her time of the month? I mean they were never apart so surely that would have been an issue? Or am I just an odd ball for thinking that?! lol

Disenchantegg3 · 10/04/2009 21:12

Also with Jasper, how he was the 'newest veggie' and when Bella cut her finger he went for her at Edwards home... if he was that unstable as to attack someone for a drop of spilt blood how could he go to school?

What if that happened in class, or they did that finger prick experiment in his class?

EdwardCullensWife · 10/04/2009 21:12

X-posted Libra. She's obviously a Buffy fan so she's bound to be biased against Twilight. Twilight never claimed to be the new Buffy. The writer had an agenda from the beginning and found plenty of 'evidence' to back up her claims. But it's all just her opinion, it means nothing. Everybody will draw their own conclusions from reading the books themselves. it's not everybody's cup of tea but so many people derive a lot of pleasure from these and many other books that have been heavily criticised, often by people who haven't read them.
