Good grief.

I really hated her first book - the 50 pages or so of it which I could bear to read - and really could not see what all the fuss was about.

Nice work if you can get it!

Won't be pre-ordering my copy though - had to read the TTW twice - just to confirm why I really hated it the 1st time ...

I sat in a seminar once while the Professor basically wept as he considered how much money Dr. Da Vinci Code was making and how cruel and capricious the gods of the literary market are.

Not sure how that particular anecdote actually helps, though.
