Have looked everywhere from Waterstones to gift shops. Plenty of 'mum' 'dad' '40' '50' etc, but nothing else.
Its for a mum at school, and a group of us go out for a drink and a natter, and she is leaving to live abroad. We wanted a nice gift book for her, which i know she will treasure.
Can anyone suggest one and I can then buy online?

Or any other good ideas too........ thanks

Why not buy a nice blank book and everyone add in a message and include photos?

Do you mean a fiction/non-fiction book?

What sort of thing does she like?

Would she like something that is set in British life, so that she can remember the curious British she has left behind?

hi, I had thought about a book with friend quotes, or a british book, and nice photos too. I have seen a british book, but it was more of a long read rather than a dip into type of book.

How about a book of poems?

What about this:
www.amazon.co.uk/Heaven-Earth-101-Happy-Poems/dp/0571207065/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books &qid=1237239444&sr=1-1

A friend gave it to me with a nice message inside and it's lovely - something for everyone I think.

hi, thanks Heluim. It's not too heavy is it? She is a mum, and a friend. Loves gardening, and goes to church. And is sad to be leaving...
