How do I contact an author??

I am actually trying to get in touch with my cousin who I have lost contact with. I have tried google, facebook, myspace etc but have had no luck.

I found an email address but it no longer works.

I do know that he has had a book publish and have found that online. There doesn't seem to be any information about him or contact details and I was wondering if anyone could suggest what I should try next...

Thanks!

Try going through the publisher. Contact them and ask them to forward an email.

Wow I wasn't expecting so many replies so quickly. His book was published by Manchester University Press. Who would I contact there?

Contact :

The Editorial Department,
(editor for "Cousin's name")
MUP address

and they will either forward your letter directly to him or to his agent.

Crossed post there! Thank you Countingthegreyhairs!! I will get onto that tomorrow!

I should have asked you all months ago when I first though about getting in touch with him.

MN is just so damn helpful for everything!!!

Oh well done subtlemouse! I had tracked him down as far as The National Archives, but hadn't found an email address! You're quick!

superloopy · 25/02/2009 10:02

Thank you subtlemouse! This is the email address I found too but it didn't work. Just got this message...

"This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed."

I guess I will get in touch with his publisher and hopefully track him down that way.
Thanks!!
