Following on from Agatha Christie - John Dickson Carr/Carter Dickson anyone?

I asked this on the Agatha Christie thread, but now have a burning desire to know

Along with the Agatah Christie's, I also have a lovely Penguin collection of these books - has anyone else read them? No one I know in RL knows them, apart from dh, and I love them too.

So any other fans?

No - but are they like AC - I mean in a comfortable not messy, murder kind of way?

Yes, they are of a similar type - I don't have all of them, but the ones I have are very big on 'how-did-they-do-it' rather than whodunnit - lots of locked room morder type of thing.

You could try the Sir Henry Merrivale (Carter Dickson)or Dr Gideon Fell (J Dickson Carr). There are loads of others, but these are the ones I have.

That's assuming they're still in print as mine are ancient!
