frost in may is so good. and the sugar house. ideal books for teenagers i think.

Fabulous books. But I do think you need to know a bit about Catholicism for them to make sense - and most people don't!

all i know about catholicism is from her books.

although i'd never thought about them as religious type books. hmm, there is a though.

I read Frost in May and The Sugar House as a teenager and loved them - great for fuelling teenage angst, best read whilst listening to gloomy but dramatic music on a tinny casette player.
