Has anyone enjoyed reading Songs of the Humpback Whale, Jodi Picoult?

I've struggled with first few chapters and not getting into it. Is it worth reading it all??? Have loved all her other books but this one's different.

It's a republication (is that a word?!) of one of her early (first, possibly) books which is why it's so different. I haven't read it because I read Mercy which is also an early one and didn;t particularly enjoy it. Her later books are definitely better.

Thanks! I thought it was just me! Don't like giving up on it, but so many more books waiting to be read. I don't believe in reading something if I'm not into it within two or three chapters!

I thought that it was the biggest load of self indulgent, non-sensical tripe I'd ever read.

Me too! No wonder they left it so long to bring it out in the UK, by far the worst of her books, just couldn't finish it either and I very rarely ever give up on books.

I agree, didn't like it or Mercy, but enjoyed the rest.
