So what do you think? I read this book after several recommendations and a whole load of internet and library blurb and found it uphill and painful. Had real problems with the (two dimensional) characters, excessive use of dialogue and style of writing (perhaps because it's in translation). BUT is there something I'm missing? I usually LURVE fiction set in France and particularly Paris, so maybe I've missed the point. Can anyone enlighten me?
