I've just spent a wondeful 2 weeks reading these two book.

They are totally fabulous. I don't normally read this sort of thing! But now I'm hooked, can somebody suggest any other historical novels?

Thanks

oh, I read that first one many years ago...at the time I also really enjoyed Marion Zimmer-Bradley's Books...about Avalon...

Also really like the Sharman etc....can't remeber right now who wrote them....was it Noah Gordon maybe....hmm

Hi, not sure if this is anything like Ken Follet as been long time since read one of his, but have just finished Sally Beauman's Dark Angel. Set in 1910 up till about 1990 I think. Gripping reading but don't know if can honestly say enjoyed it if that makes sense! It certainly affected me deeply for some reason and made me very tearful, not on behalf of the characters, but because it provoked sort of melancholy feeling! Bet I sound mad now ....

Oh I enjoyed these two as well. Have you read the CJ Sansom books? "Dissolution" is the first. They are mediaeval who-dunnits and very exciting and meticulously researched.

And if you like CJ Sansom you might also like Sussana Gregory.
