Moving and intelligent. And different.

what's it about?

A homeless alcoholic junkie! But don't let that put you off. . It's a biography of a non famous person written backwards. It's clever and genuinely shocking at times. Not in the least run of the mill.

sounds interesting - will investigate on amazon!

is indeed a very good read. It was dramatised and was on telly a few months back. Def read it and don't let the apparent depressing nature of it put you off.

A fabulous book and one that I recommend to medical students to read to get a flavour of substance misuse, mental illness and homelessness.

Didn't like the TV adaptation as much, but would wholeheartedly advise people to seek out the book.

I read this book a couple of years ago and have recommended it to others since. They've "enjoyed" it (not sure that's quite the right word).

I thought it was pretty thought provoking. I work in housing in homelessness and found it quite insightful.
