RIP Studs Terkel

I guess it's not surprising given that he was 96 and there were some indications in his more recent work that he was thinking about it, but I've just seen the news of Studs Terkel's death and I'm feeling sad about it.

Has anyone else read his work? He was an oral historian who interviewed people about their lives - books included ones on memories of the Great Depression, America under Reagan (don't remember title), Race, Work....

I read Work for Sociology ages ago, and have read a few other pieces. Afraid I wasn't a fan, though - I mean, I thought his work was interesting, but I always felt there was a strong (anti-feminist) slant to his work ...
