Ok, I read a book about a year or so ago, and LOVED it, but forgot to note down the Title/author

The story goes like this:
Young girl is living in NY, taking an art course

We find out she has won the lottery, but doesn't claim for ages

She has a difficult relationship with her mother

She ends up ill with cancer

Meets/ falls in love with a police officer

Can anyone help me!!!! It is driving me crazy - I really enjoyed it - the characters were very well done.

I know it's wierd isn't it, instead of going to active convos today I thought I'd have a quick look at the fiction section and yours was the first one! I have to admit that I've re-read it as well, there's something about her books that I love! Have you read The Bronze Horseman?

purpleduck · 20/10/2008 21:09

No!
And that was why I wanted the author, so I could find other books by her.
Will def look in the library tomorrow>
I am so Happy! I have even bugged library staff about it.
