Pilgrim's Progress

Having read Little Women, it has reminded me that when I was about 9/10 I read a child's version of Pilgrim's Progress - I spent years remembering this book with burdens, realised what it was when I was about 18, then forgot about it again.

I fancy reading it again as an adult, but there are soooooooooo many versions out there now! Is it a cop out to read modern English versions? I feel like it is wrong to not read it how an author planned, but at the same time am baulking a bit at the prospect!!

You can download the old version for free or read it online here. I read the children's version too and I still haven't got the motivation up to read this one as it seems really heavy, so you're not alone. I would say it was bad as such to read an abridged version though, as you're still reading the story.
