justagirlfromedgware · 07/09/2008 20:36

really hard going. Made me very uncomfortable in parts. Have you read the lovely bones?

CrushWithEyeliner · 09/09/2008 19:40

Very difficult but important read. Far superior to the lovely bones which I found mawkish and just awful really...

binkythebullet · 09/09/2008 19:41

Very hard going and uncomfortable, but definitely worth completing.

I started reading it and found it quite disturbing. Kept meaning to finish it but never did. Will go back to it at some point as I do want to know the ending.

im pretty sure that this book was based on what happened to her when she was at college i saw or read an interview with her and she was talking about it.

i have read most of it but its one of those books i keep going off then going back too. ive also read lovely bones and i thought this was a good book.

LIZS · 10/09/2008 15:58

yes Lucky is autobigraphical The Lovely Bones is loosely based on her own experience and sort of as an alternative outcome.
