Got it in my To Read pile, I'm looking forward to starting it. I gave my mum the Midwife one to read. I was born round about the time that book was set in and my mum was astounded at the difference in their experiences compared to hers. She said it made her feel very fortunate.

I liked call the midwife although I think the ending was a bit strange ,loved the story of the prem baby though .

Will be adding the workshouse one to my library list .Thanks .

Imnotok, I thought it ended a bit abruptly. But I loved the story of Conchata and her husband (I hope that's her name?)! Thought that was great!
