You might be struggling to get them in time. I use a price comparison site specifically for books:

amazon is ok for books, and the book people do some good deals to. Or ebay of course

I always use amazon, you can get used books for less than £1 sometimes and they usually arrive pretty quickly.

BookButler does price comparison too.

BookRabbit and the Book Depository are both usually quite cheap.

Can you do that thing where you cunningly sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime and get free next-day delivery on all your stuff? That wau you'd definitely be sure of them arriving before your hols
