I am Charlotte Simmons by Tom Wolfe. Perfect holiday reading.

It's brilliant isn't it. Apparently he wrote it after being really shocked to find out about the "celebrations" for spring break. The characters were very compelling I thought, you really cared about what happened to them in the end.
