I adored 'The Sea The Sea' when I read it about 100 years ago. Haven't read anything else but that was fab.

i am trying to remember why i liked it.. i think i loved teh characterisation. it made me laugh. all the descriptions of rooms made me feel like i was there. the swimming in the thames bit was great, sort of thing i used to do. also it is her first so it is interesting from that point of view.
