Where can I get..............

Went to visit a pre-school recently and in their book section they had a truely wonderful book. It was "There was an old lady who swallowed a fly" but it had a soft doll with it of the old lady with a big wide open mouth. Also had lots of soft material toys of each thing that the old lady swallowed - children could pop them in her mouth as you read them the story. It was absolutely fantastic.
Does anyone know if there is a shop anywhere that these are sold? I'm not expecting them to be cheap.
TIA

I've seen this soft toy version somewhere, I'll have to think..... dd has a boardbook with holes in it but no soft toys

I had a look on Amazon and they only had the books here . I will be watching with interest as dd would love that!

Some of the educational catalogues do it. Let me have a quick look and I'll get back to you in a minute.

Sounds like a story sack - try doing a search on that & the title

SPARKLER1 · 05/02/2005 22:37

Thanks ever so much. I would love to get hold of one. If needs be - I shall have to go back to the pre-school and get the details.

Here is the story sacks site. It wasn't what I was originally looking for, but I can't get the other sites to load, besides, the postage on them is usually around £6 per order.

Anyway, hope that helps.

Its in Mini IQ for £16.99 - strangely i can order you one!

SPARKLER1 · 05/02/2005 23:00

Ah Jampots - are Mini IQ the people that do parties from home?? I'm sure one of the mums at the school gate were talking about these people the other day. I might have a party myself if I can find out who does them locally.

Don't have any prices though!

stupidgirl · 05/02/2005 23:06

Blossom do you mean my link? If so they are rather more than Jampots offering - click on order and the prices come up.

SPARKLER1 · 05/02/2005 23:08

Thanks SG - I shall have a rummage through that one. Looks like I might be buying more than one
