I'm so unhappy! I can't read much anymore but have been fine with audible- listening to all sorts...all grand. But I thought I'd give some of my old favourites a go , starting with the most wonderful Jane Gardam..."Bilgewater" ...and..ohh. its just NOT THE SAME..

I think some writers need to be seen and not heard.

Anyway I just wanted to share.

It was always on my parents bookshelves and I found the name funny! What's it about?

Try Old Filth on Audible…it’s narrated wonderfully…I think it’s my favourite Audible listen of all time actually (out of hundreds) and there are 2 more in the ‘series’ (same characters)
