Anyone else use Storygraph?

Just wondering who else uses Storygraph.
I'm just curious /nosy how you find the graphs and if your reading is quite varied or not?
I feel like I read quite a variety of books but based on my story graph charts I have a fairly consistent preference!

And have you done any challenges/do you have any you recommend?

My friends who read tend to use goodreads, I switched to Storygraph quite a few years ago and I really like it but would prefer it if my friends used it too

I want to use Storygraph but I can’t get my good reads data to import and I don’t have the patience to keep both updated.

I use Storygraph a lot and have joined far too many challenges! Like you I thought I read widely but my graphs show that my top 3 genres and moods are quite consistent. One of the challenges I joined is to read all the genres on Storygraph. I am at about 66% on that one. PM me if you would like to add me as a friend on it.

I joined it a few years ago, and love the challenges.

I find the number of pages chart interesting, as I feel I always read shorter books but often I don't, so it's good to see that.

I really love Storygraph and I love the book charts at the end of the year. Fortunately my data transferred well from Goodreads and I don’t find it too hard to update both as I go.

I am only doing 1 challenge at the moment and it's to read 26 books I already owned in 2026. I am nearly there but my TBR pile isn't going down as I planned as I keep buying more books

I didn't think about keeping both Goodreads and Storygraph going. Maybe I missed a trick there!

I use StoryGraph because I like the charts so I can see how varied my reading is. But they aren't always accurate which is annoying.

At the moment I'm using Storygraph and Goodreads - I only stay on Goodreads because so many people are there and I want to see what old online and offline friends post. All these reading tracking sites seem to be very US dominated, but Goodreads take it further because only some people are allowed to have "librarian status" - I had mine taken away some years ago. There are loads of data dumps including books that have been out for ages and still don't have the right cover pictures added, UK editions with American covers, wildy inaccurate page counts, wrong publication dates for books, for example ones that have been published for months in the UK but are only just coming out in the US.

But my favourite of these sites is Librarything - it has a much smaller user base than Goodreads but allows users to make corrections and report problems without having a fake hierarchy of users. This flexibility means that it's generally better for older books, whereas Goodreads is owned and completely dominated by Amazon's priorities so they don't really care about older books or past editions much.

LT and Storygraph are less dominated by Amazon.

Like @elkiedee I keep Goodreads so I can be nosy about what my friends are reading and how they are rating those books, and I do keep it updated myself. I also have a decades worth of books I've saved in 'want to read' which I refer to on Kindle Daily Deals.

But for my own use I much prefer Storygraph. I love the graphs, tracking of different metrics, the annual round up, and even just being able to give 0.25, 0.5, and 0.75 - sometimes 4 stars feels too nice and 3 stars much too mean. As I listen audiobooks as well as reading 'real' books I find being able to split by format helpful too, as I see one as more passive and the other more active.

Yes I know what you mean, I like the ability to give a more precise rating.

Just joined thanks to this thread! I’m loving the graphs! Also love that I can give quarter, half, and three quarter star reviews. That’s always annoyed me about goodreads.
