has anyone read these marevelous books!? I love them and have not met many people who have read them yet many seem to have read Captain Corellis Mandolin!.....Please prove me wrong, he is a fantastic storyteller or did I imagine these books?!?!

I LOVE De Berniere, do find they take a bit of effort to get into, and are quite graphic in parts

I've read them amd am far more familiar witht hem than the greek one. It was 10 yrs ago tho' I hate gruesome stories but remained rivetted with these.

He went on to bigger and better things! I liked the first one, 'The War of Don Emmanuel's Nether Parts' but 'Senor Viva and the Coca Lord' was just too gruesome for me, and I really can't remember what happened in 'The Troublesome Offspring of Cardinal Guzman'. It's been a while since I read them. I obviously preferred Captain Corelli's Mandolin as the others have been sent to the charity shop! Having said that I did want to give Captain Corelli a slap for being so crap at the end of the book.
