I have read four Highsmith novels and really liked them, but my local library (which is generally crap) doesn't keep any. I've just read Strangers on A Train (what the hell did Hitchcock do to that plot?!) Edith's Diary, The Price of Salt, and A Suspension of Mercy, which I adored. I particularly liked the Suffolk setting. I want to buy some secondhand copies via Amazon or ebay, but need recommendations for her best books. Did she set any other novels in England?

The Ripley books (as in The Talented Mr Ripley) are tremendous! I also adore Carol.
