People with unusual taste in fiction - what do you like to read?

I really like Sensation fiction (Victorian melodrama with lots of bad female characters, murders, poisonings, mental asylums and hidden wills etc). I don't know anyone else who has read more than a couple, say Lady Audley's Secret and The Woman in White. I mostly find my reading matter in second hand bookshops. I love reading these books because they are so entertaining, they have lots of words (I am a fast and voracious reader)and I am always morally improved by the end

So tell me about what you like and why - I'm curious.

i'm into gothic fiction - "The monk" by Matthew Lewis is scary, very good!, "Uncle Silas" etc. That sort of thing.
I also like all vampire stories (except the modern ones by Anne Rice)
