I read a book of hers recently at Christmas, and looked up some of her back catalogue. She seems to like having male characters that are half Italian, French, Viking, Swedish etc, did anyone notice that?

Yes!! I noticed the Viking theme. She also always makes a reference to WD4O and has vivid descriptions of food. I love her books though, they are so cosy.

Her books are cosy, like a warm blanket. I think I've read them all. Some twice.

I'm reading a Spring Affair and hoping it will kickstart me to clear out at home. I am actually a cleaner, but never have time for a thorough spring clean myself!

She’s from Yorkshire, maybe it’s the York connection

A Spring Affair is brilliant.

I love Milly Johnson. Cosy and Northern (like me). Try also Trisha Ashley perhaps.

I have all my late mum's kindle books on my kindle and just had a look. There are a couple of Milly Johnson books so I've moved them over to the tbr folder.

I finished it! Wasn't Phil a tosser? I went into my loft and made a start yesterday.

@FlimsyMimsy Yes he was! Lots of her heroines have dickhead exes but they overcome this and emerge much stronger. Her books are warm and full of strong women. Try 'Afternoon Tea at the Sunflower Cafe' next, perhaps
