I've just bought signing for babies from Makaton, very quick delivery, ordered yesterday, it arrived this morning.

A new book out is Teach Yourself Baby Signing by Jane Jarvis who used to work for Sing and Sign.

The book is fantastic (just received my copy) and comes with a DVD as well.

You can get it herewww.hoddereducation.co.uk/Title/9780340939710/Teach_Yourself_Baby_Signing.htm

That Jane Jarvis book looks good BonyM as a few years ago all the books were very American and I didn't find it too helpful to use signs based on ASL (e.g. from the Garcia books).

When ds1 was little I had the Acredolo and Goodwyn book, which is great on the theory and for getting people enthusiastic about signing, but not so good for specific signs. I ended up using a Sing and Sign DVD, and with ds2 I went to Sing and Sign classes. The signs they use are very close to Makaton.
