Reading / bibliotherapy spas

I was just listening to a book podcast that mentioned a bookshop in Bath or Bristol that does a "reading spa" where you can go for tea and cake and have a one on one with a bookseller who makes personal recommendations. It sounds like absolute heaven, but it's the wrong side of the country for me. Anyone know anywhere else that does something similar? Unfortunately googling reading spa just brings up a list of spas in Reading, as you might expect.

That same bookshop has branches elsewhere that do the same. Maybe there's one closer to you?

Great. I've been to the one in Ely, not for the tea and book chat, just to shop, and it was a lovely higgledy piggledy shop (the building rather than the books) with many nooks and crannies and an unexpected and beauriful view of the catherdral from the top floor. So, if it's that one, you're in for a treat!

Also OP if you can't make the spa, Mr B's has an amazing website with really interesting reading lists. I've been going for over a decade now and the staff there have introduced me to so many books I would never have read otherwise.

Although if you come to Bath for a little trip you can do what I do and have a book shop crawl. Mr B's followed by Persephone for something delightful and pre war and finished up with Toppings. It's my perfect day!
