Do you love read autobiographies - I do!
my new year’s resolution is to read more autobiographies.
so I have just finished Matthew Perry. Feeling a bit sad as I read it after he died. He finished the book full of hope to beat his addiction and find a life partner. So sad.

next is Kathy Burke.

so which ones are you reading?

Yes, I grew up around the time Kathy Burke was on TV a lot so I remember all the shows she was in and people she worked with well, that probably does make a difference.

Wavewalker by Suzanne Heywood is a fascinating, and at times shocking, account of her unconventional childhood sailing around the world with her parents and brother in the 70s.

Try Brian Blessed's Absolute Pandemonium. I listened to him read it on audio and had to pull the car over I was laughing so much.

i have just finished ‘Floating Home - Lessons from a life less ordinary’ by Adam Lind. What a lovely book. It details him losing his dad at a young age and processing his grief. Plus hitch hiking to India and being on the road for 5 years. Then living on a narrow boat. Also he tells the stories of some lovely people who also live on the water. It is auto biographical but also self reflection, learning and living the life you want to live.

I was also disappointed in Kathy Burke's book. It started off really well and then went into her name checking everyone she had ever worked with - got really boring. Also it was like she was trying to put into print some of the "wrongs" other people had done to her, to get her own back. I feel like she went on about her professional life too much and didn't cover her private life so much after childhood.

Oh yes, I used to listen to Radio 5 when he was on the breakfast show in the 1990s, I used to be driving to work crying with laughter. I have read at least one of his books several years ago, where he describes his cancer journey, that would be good use of some of my audible credits.

I finished the second Pat Nevin last week, and the Tony Adams, both were interesting listens, I think even if you aren't a football fan, both have achieved much outside the game and had difficulties to overcome.

Well, Pat's mostly still in the game, but I mean after his playing career ended.

Recommend Al Pacino narrating his biography. Excellent as you’d expect from an actor. Felt he was telling me his personal story not reading from a script. A delight. There are times when he’s amusing himself with the retelling. Double delight.

I just thought I’d look for the second Pat Nevin autobiography Football and how to Survive It in my local library today and there it was on the shelf, looking right at me! That never happens, I have always had to order any book that I specifically want to read, so definitely a good omen. Can’t wait to start it.

I really enjoyed Lady Anne Glenconner’s book. Also Boy George, Rob Lowe, Demi Moore. Britney Spears book made me feel very sorry for her. Now reading Quincy Jones.
