Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse - not deep and meaningful but sooooooooooo absorbing

SilentTerror · 12/06/2008 11:33

Just reading Andrew Taylor's new one,'Bleeding Heart Square' and it is superb.Am rationing myself to a chapter a day so i don't devour it in one go!

LadyK · 12/06/2008 11:35

The Glass Books of the Dream-Eaters by G.W. Dahlquist if you want a looooong one, or Atonement if you're after something shorter.

TwoIfBySea · 12/06/2008 13:28

I have a fairly heaving reading list ahead of me over the summer but so far...

The People's Act Of Love by James Meek.

Cappuccino · 12/06/2008 13:29

MehgaLegs · 12/06/2008 19:42

I have just finished Julie Orringer's How to Breathe Underwater which I loved.

littlerach · 12/06/2008 19:59

Magician's Assistant, Anne Pratchett.
really good.

Also, Someone Call the Midwife, might be Jennifer Woth?
Very interesting.

FeelingEvil · 12/06/2008 20:27

On Chesil Beach, Ian McEwan
Beautifully crafted

magicfarawaytree · 12/06/2008 20:29

The secret life of a slummy mummy- just finished it - laughed my socks off.

squilly · 12/06/2008 22:50

Cloud Atlas, David Mitchell (?? - I think that was his name anyway). Fab book.

MorocconOil · 12/06/2008 22:54

Patrick Gale- Notes on An Exhibition. Comforting and not depressing like alot of the other books I have read recently. I found Thousand Splendid Suns compelling but very disturbing.

PeasForTeaAgain · 12/06/2008 22:58

Secret life of a slummy mummy. SUPERB!
