Hi - can anyone recommend a book for my DD (23). She reads a lot, and enjoys fairly literary books, more so than me!
She's recently read Shuggie Bain, Prophet Song, All the Light We Cannot See, My Brilliant Friend to give some examples.
She has a stressful time coming up with exams, and I'd like to buy her a couple of books for Christmas that are great books, but perhaps on the uplifting side!
I was wondering about:
The House In Paris
The Ministry of Time
Raising Hare

Any thoughts appreciated. She's enjoyed the Nightingale and The Women recently too. Also I think she would like The Names, but waiting for it to be in paperback I think.

Thanks!

Jo Jo Moyes the giver of stars is really lovely. Also someone else's shoes is good

A Gentleman in Moscow. Spend time with a thoroughly decent, charming man!

Seascraper. A bit grim and poverty-stricken but still uplifting. The audiobook is better because part of the book is about writing a song.

Remarkably Bright Creatures.

I didn't rate The ministry of Time.
