i have just rerad a good first novel last stop salina cruz which by chance touched on suicide dada surrealism and i recommend it

...tho it is possibly odd but interesting and highly readable

quite stylised

but if you are arty and interested in the workings of the mind and like very film like qualities

maybe a bit of irvine walsh and a bit of ben okri or magical realism

i hope you do....i found it very ointeresting it is quirky tho

i am an arty farty type with an interest in dada and mind games

i found it hard to believe it was a first novel

in fact it was a very dissassociative experience

It does sound interesting.

When you say Irvine Walsh - do you include the scatalogical stuff or just his drug trip type narratives? I found the poo too much for me.
