Has anyone else read this? It's by Carol Atherton and each chapter is a reflection on what can be learnt and taught from a classic novel, play or poem. That makes it sound dull but I honestly couldn't put this down and loved reading the discussion about the text, lots of which I've not even read. It's interspersed with anecdotes about the pupils she's taught and bits of memoir of her life too. Utterly charming and recommended. I suggested it to DH and he looked skeptical then spent two afternoons / evenings with his nose in it until it was finished and then agreed with my review 😀
