Hilarious books

If I laughed out loud at Tom Sharp in the 90s, what would be equally hilarious now?
I'm going on a long road trip and want a talking book that will make me cackle!

Not interested in overly sexual, but like situational comedy.

Any ideas, please?

Terry Pratchet is hilarious.
And PG Wodehouse if you fancy some calm amusement.

The tent, the bucket and me by Emma Kennedy is funny. It's autobiographical and about the reliably catastrophic family holidays of her childhood. I haven't read any Tom Sharp so can't compare but there are definitely lots of funny situations.

Decline and Fall by Evelyn Waugh

The Diary of a Nobody by George and Weedon Grossmith

PG Wodehouse is my go to for a comic read. The Inimitable Jeeves is a good one to start with but they be read in any order really.

Three Men In A Boat. Read it for a book club last year and didn’t expect much from it, but laughed out loud in places.

Same with Cold Comfort Farm
