I've read it, I found it thoroughly depressing I am afraid. There was some chat on here about it recently, I'll see if I can find the link.

I thought it was blinking awful. Couldn't wait to get to the end, frankly.

I agree, it just seemed like such a pointless project that he was determined to carry out because everyone had told him he couldn't.
