Just finished this, absolutely amazing. It should have won the Booker. Anyone else agree?

Not read that one but if it’s as amazing as his previous book The Trees it should win!

i thought it was interesting but so ‘sopey’. Like how many things could possibly happen to him in a row?!

I really wanted to like it but found it a bit meh to be honest.

I loved it. I had sort of forgotten Huckleberry Finn so I was riveted by the plot. It was very well written as well. I always have a mental picture of what I'm reading, but the writing was so good it was like a full technicolour movie. I will definitely be reading his other books.
